A January 28th trial date has been set for the former president of the Fallon Chamber of Commerce on charges of battery and assault with a daily weapon.
Prosecutors say the charges against 27-year-old Kris Hansen stem from his alleged role in a June 2006 shoot-out on Regan Place. Hansen is accused of ramming his truck into another vehicle, knocking a man to the ground during the shoot-out.
Hansen maintains his innocence and says he acted in self-defense. Hansen was president of the Fallon Chamber of Commerce in 2005 and was a member of its board of directors at the time of his arrest.
