Firefighting Assistance from Nevada

The Nevada National Guard says it's committing two C-130 aircraft, a CH-47 Chinook helicopter and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter to help with fire relief in California. The aircraft have a combined crew of 25 Nevada guard members.

The length of their stay in California is unknown. Their exact mission is also not yet known. The guard will stage out of Ventura, County.

The guard will deploy Tuesday morning from the Stead Army Airfield. KOLO Eight will be on-hand to provide continuing coverage.
