Infant's Family Pleads Guilty To Child Endangerment

The mother and grandparents of a 14-month-old boy have pleaded guilty to charges that they failed to adequately treat his oozing sores while they lived in a motel room full of drug paraphernalia and garbage.

The boy's mother, Aimee Louvier, 27, his grandmother, Jennie Oswalt, 50, and grandfather, Donovan Oswalt, 49, all face a year in jail after entering the plea Friday a gross misdemeanor charge of child endangerment.

They remain in custody after separate November sentencing hearings were set.

The three were arrested Sept. 17 after they were found inside a room at the White Court Inn on Evans Street with the child.

Police said his mother was under the influence of methamphetamine, while his grandmother said she had used the drug.

According to police, the boy had sores on his arms that were covered in dirty bandages and was wearing a heavily soiled diaper.

While no food was found in the room, police said they discovered "large quantities" of drug paraphernalia, including needles and syringes.
