Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, Hillary Clinton’s National Campaign Co-Chair, will travel to Reno this Sunday, to lead a campaign canvass and mobilize supporters for the Nevada Caucus.
Mayor Villaraigosa will take Senator Clinton’s message of change to the streets of Reno by energizing volunteers to knock on doors and meet one-on-one with members of the community.
He will then attend an organizing house meeting to discuss his reasons for endorsing Senator Clinton and why she is the best candidate to bring about the change America needs.
At an early age, Villaraigosa began his lifelong involvement with the labor movement as a volunteer with the farm workers movement, later he served as a field representative/organizer with the United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA).
He also is a past President of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and the American Federation of Government Employees.
