Investigators have identified the woman whose body was found in a meadow near South Lake Tahoe a week ago.
But there still are a lot of unanswered questions.
They say she was 44-year-old Sandra Denise Petersen of South Lake Tahoe.
It was originally thought she was homeless, but officials say she was married and had family in Carson City.
Police have talked to a number of people who live near where she was found and they had reportedly seen a blonde woman, between 50 and 60, there often.
Occasionally she was seen with known homeless people.
It has not been determined whether Petersen had frequented the meadow in the past.
The remains of Petersen's body were discovered October eleventh by a resident who was walking in the meadow.
A cause of death has not been determined.
