Governor Kenny Guinn is calling for the resignation of state controller Kathy Augustine, who's facing impeachment after admitting to ethics violations.
Last week, Augustine admitted to the state ethics commission that she made her *staff work on her 2002 *re-election campaign.
Guinn says if Augustine doesn't resign, he'll call a special session of the Legislature to impeach her.
Governor Guinn: "I say to you the foundation of our operating system under Nevada law, under Nevada politics really comes down to ethics. The people will stand by me no matter what the cost."
Governor Guinn says the special session would be convened the second week of November..and would cost taxpayers 12-thousand dollars a day.
But he says you can't put a price tag on ethics.
