Police Say Reno Man Shoots Mom

Reno Police say a family dispute led to a man shooting his mother in the neck.
The shooting happened just after 4:00 Wednesday afternoon at the Club Ambassador Apartment Complex on Mae Anne Avenue in Northwest Reno.
According to police, 39-year old Andray Anthony Gordon shot his mother, Gloria Cain, after a physical fight inside their apartment.
Cain is considered to be in critical condition tonight.

It is unclear what happened immediately following the shooting, or who called 9-1-1.
Officers say, they spotted Gordon driving in Northwest Reno just before 5 o'clock and tried to stop him.
He wouldn't stop, and they chased along Robb Drive and onto Interstate 80.
Officers say, he slowed down near the Wells Avenue exit and officers pushed the car off the road with their vehicles.
He was taken into custody.
Gordon has a number of prior arrests, including at least 3 felon convictions for receiving stolen property and drug charges.
He's charged with attempted murder, ex-felon in possession of a firearm and eluding police.
The weapon has not been found.
