Conspiracy theories in the death of Princess Diana have been given some support from a witness who testified today in the official inquest into her death.
The testimony came from a man who claimed he saw a blinding flash of light in the Paris road tunnel just before the crash.
But he spent much of his time today answering questions about inconsistencies in statements he had made.
The testimony from the witness (Francois Levistre) differs at key points from others who testified today.
He says he saw two men on a motorcycle ahead of Diana's car, and then a "major flash of light," followed by a crash.
He also confirmed that he didn't call police -- but instead called a hotel owned by Mohamed al Fayed, and the Sunday Times newspaper.
