A call for help, after Hurricane Jeanne slammed into the Florida coast, has been answered three thousand miles away in Reno. Several Sierra Pacific power trucks loaded onto trailers left on September 26th, heading for the Sunshine state. The trucks will be met by two crews, who are leaving by plane for Orlando on Tuesday, September 28th. They'll be responsible for fixing power poles and lines damaged by Hurricane Jeanne. Up till Sunday, September 26th, more than a million people are still without power in the northern and southern part of the state. The total work order asked by the Florida power companies calls for six thousand linemen and four thousand tree trimmers. California is also sending 20-plus line crews.
