Just in to the Kolo-8 Newsroom: A verdict has come down in the Wyeth Pharmaceuticals case.
The clerk at Washoe County district court told Kolo-8 News that three women will be awarded more than 134-million dollars.
The women contend Wyeth Pharmaceuticals minimized the risk involved with the hormone replacement drugs prempro and premarin.
They were all later diagnosed with breast cancer after taking the drugs.
67-year old Arline Rowatt and 75-year old Jeraldine Scofield were awarded more than $7.5 million for past damages, and $36 million for future damages.
65-year old Pamela Forrester was awarded more than $7.5 million for past damages, and $40 million for future damages.
The courts will take another look at the case on friday to award 'punitive' damages.
