With this the first day of Autumn, and our first snow having already fallen; a lot of minds have turned to the upcoming ski season.
And right now many Tahoe area resorts are offering some amazing deals on season passes.
At Mt. Rose, workers are putting the finishing touches on a new high speed six pack, the resort will also open up the Chutes this season - 200 acres of double black diamond terrain.
The sun was shining today on Tahoe's south shore, still folks at Heavenly Village were picking up their season passes.
Over the last few years, most Tahoe resorts have offered screaming deal passes, aimed right at locals. Here are this years deals, you'll need to check with individual resorts for specific restrictions.
Northstar & Sierra-at-Tahoe: $289 (not valid Saturdays at Northstar)
Sierra-at-Tahoe only: $249
