A new state report says Nevada's crime rate climbed by nearly nine percent last year.
The annual report issued by the Department of Public Safety broke down more than 110-thousand crimes reported in 2003.
It says 18-point-4 percent of those crime were solved.
That's down 7-and a half percent from 2002.
And Homicides rose more than 7-percent with 197 murders.
It says 16-percent of the killings were drug related and about 10-percent were the result of domestic conflicts.
