Nevada's Job Connect saw 75-percent more business last month...more than any other time ever.
15-hundred people used the state employment agency's services in August.
And, there were three thousand visits to the Reno office.
Nevada's unemployment rate for August was the lowest...for that month in four years, at four percent.
State workers credit many Californians moving to the Silver state because of the quality of life and better tax base.
Job Connect Director Tina Grefrath says "we don't see hardly any low paying jobs anymore. It's gotten very competitive for the better worker and that's great for those job seekers driving up wages."
Job Connect is hosting two job fairs this week.
One tomorrow in Sparks from 10 to 2.
The other on Wednesday in Reno from 11 to 2.
Most of the jobs pay between nine and eleven dollars an hour.
