Convicted Arsonist Pleads To Shooting Windows In Nevada

A convicted arsonist who was accused of shooting out numerous windows during a February shooting spree through Carson City, Douglas County and Lake Tahoe has pleaded guilty to one gross misdemeanor.

David Scott Killen entered his plea yesterday (Monday) before District Judge Michael Gibbons in Minden. In exchange for his admission of guilt, no other charges will be filed against him.

Killen was arrested in Douglas County after a woman reported the driver's side window of her minivan was shot out while she was stopped at an intersection with her 14-year-old daughter in the vehicle.

Killen's plea agreement requires him to pay for damages.

Sentencing was set for Dec. 10.

Killen was released from prison in August 2005 after serving a sentence for felony arson.
