The RTC is topping off its new 4th Street Station this morning with a bus. That’s happening at 7 AM. They are doing it with a 28-foot, 1960's bus sculpture and placing it on top of a pole. Later on there is a public meeting to to get input on transit priorities and changes to existing routs. That’s happening from 4 pm to 7 pm this evening at 1421 Victorian Avenue in Sparks.

If you have a legal problem then it might be time to turn to the library. The Washoe County Library is offering a class to familiarize citizens with legal resources today. It’s happening tonight at 5 at 75 Court Street room 101.

If you have wondered about what Turkish delight is, or a Turkish bath, today is your chance to learn. Food historian Charles Perry is offering a free seminar on the history of Turkish food. That's at UNR at 6. Call 343-6708 to go.

There is also a self-defense demonstration at unr tonight with food and drinks, call 853-1059 for that. The Carson City board of supervisors is meeting today. One of the items on the agenda is a 700-thousand dollar grant from the department of homeland security. Part of that money is to rehire firefighters who have been laid off. That starts at 8 this morning, 851 East William Street in Carson.
