Animal activists are raising concerns about some exotics pets after a 73-year-old Nye County woman was killed by eight wolf hybrids.
The animals were owned by the woman's son.
They attacked her Thursday at a home just outside Pahrump.
Nye County authorities say the animals were part wolf and part Malamute.
The owner told authorities they had never been aggressive.
The animals have been euthanized.
The woman's name has not been released.
Sherry Woodard runs an animal shelter in the area.
She says she's concerned about the breeding of animals that have the
potential to be so aggressive.
Wolf hybrids are legal in Nye County and require no special licensing.
