Homicide Investigation At 240 Thoma

On Sunday evening, September 16, 2007, at approximately 11:30pm officers of the Reno Police Department responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at 240 Thoma in the City of Reno.

Arriving officers located a male individual lying on a second floor landing, the apparent victim of a stabbing.

Medical personnel responded but lifesaving attempts were unsuccessful.

A number of persons residing in the area have been interviewed, but at this time there is little information regarding the events leading up to the homicide or individuals involved.

Therefore at this time there is no reliable suspect and/or vehicle description available for release.

The decedent is identified as a Joseph Alan Robb, male 35 years of age, a Reno resident.

Monday Reno Police Homicide Detectives, with the assistance of the Washoe County District Attorney’s, acting on information gained through the ongoing investigation obtained a criminal arrest warrant charging Ana Padua, female age 19, with the murder of Joseph Alan Robb.

At approximately 5:00 PM Monday Ms. Padua responded to the Reno Police Department and surrendered herself to Reno Police Homicide Detectives.

She was subsequently booked into the Washoe County Jail for open murder, no bail.

At this time the Department is still requesting assistance from the public in solving this investigation.
