RENO, Nev. (AP) - A former Nevada social worker has been sentenced to up to five years in prison for distributing child pornography.

Thirty-five year old Matthew Samuel Platshorn was arrested on multiple counts following a 2008 Internet child predator sting operation.

Authorities said he distributed videos to other computer users who requested them through a file sharing network.

Platshorn had worked at a state-run disability center in Carson City and was fired after his arrest.

He pleaded guilty in March to one count of distribution of child pornography, and was sentenced Tuesday by Washoe District Judge Steven Elliott.

I think his ex wife stole $750 worth of wine, candy , eggs, and t.p. From a local grocery store. With her child. She never blinked twice not even when the child was crying and the cops hauled her away. By the way she also is a social worker. These people make me sick. I think this guy hung himself. Or should. I feel for the child
