The Fitzgeralds casino in downtown Reno has been sold.
A New Jersey family with Atlantic City gaming experience signed an agreement to purchase the casino for nine-point-nine million dollars.
The casino's former owner has tried to sell the Reno property since December 2000...when the company filed for bankruptcy protection.
