$1000 Reward Offered in Teen Shooting

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Authorities in Reno are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects wanted in connection with another shooting a couple miles southeast of downtown.

Police say a 17-year-old boy was shot in the chest Sunday night on Yori Avenue just three blocks from where a 16-year-old was killed in a drive-by shooting two days earlier off of Wells Avenue.

The latest victim was taken to a local hospital where his condition is not known.

Reno Police Lt. Keith Brown says he was confronted by several people at about 5 p.m., shot and then kicked while on the ground. He says they don't have any suspects in either shooting.

Another man also suffered a minor gunshot wound in the first case.
