- Stagnant conditions under high pressure will continue through Wednesday. Air quality will continue to be a problem, especially overnight and in the morning hours. The next storm system will be warmer, windier, and faster. Wind will pick up and become gusty on Thursday area-wide. Precipitation will start as rain and then change to snow in the Sierra. Valleys will get rain showers late Thursday, changing over to light snow as the storm lifts out by early Friday. Weak systems will track to the north Sunday through early next week. -Jeff
