The cold weather is here to stay through at least early next week. Several chances of snow showers are also in the forecast. The first will come Wednesday into Thursday, with the heaviest snow expected late Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Although totals will not be very impressive, expect winter driving conditions from the valleys to the Sierra. A period of partly cloudy, mainly dry weather will follow and persist through the end of the weekend. Another chance of snow looks likely early next week. -Jeff
