12-Year-Old William Wants Forever Family

RENO, NV - "I felt like I was going to do bad, because I haven't done it in awhile."

Twelve-year old William wanted to head to the Sierra Bay Aqua Range at the Grand Sierra Resort to hit a few baskets of balls. The first time he ever came out here? A long time ago, he says, with someone from his past.

"My dad. He liked it and he took me here once. And, like, I've liked it ever since then."

While he may have the gift of golf, I on the other hand do not.

William is a kind boy, with an honest soul, confronting what he wants, "I want to get adopted, and like so they, you guys want to put me on tv."

He hopes his forever family would keep him in his current school. He’s in sixth grade at Kendall Dapoli. He excels in math, saying "I'm really good at it and it like makes my mind go."

When William grows up, he wants to build motorcycles. And he’d love for his dad to have one. William says he’s been in foster care two years, and in talking about his dream parents, William emphasized he’d like them to be, "Just nice. Cool. And not like a screamy dad."

But more than anything, William wants parents who understand he really wants to get involved in team sports like soccer and baseball. And he hopes to be the only child.

Sarah: "Why's that?"
William: "Because then I get to do more. I can do sports and stuff. Because if you have like a lot of kids and you don't have that much money you can't get them all into a sport."

His message to a couple thinking of adopting him? Do so because, "I'm nice. I'm not rude. Um. Cuz I'm active and not lazy."
