Mom and dad, an event in Reno this Sunday could put a little cash back in your wallet. It’s a Neighborhood Baby and Kid Item Swap held in the parking lot of Amendment 21 Bar and Grill. Here’s how it works: donate gently used items that your newborn to 14-year-old has out grown, and get a voucher to trade toward an item they need. If you don’t have anything to swap, you can still come down and shop for bargains.

It’s a great way to stretch your family budget while helping other local families get back on their feet. That’s because the Swap is also a fundraiser for Step2, which is a substance abuse treatment program that helps women and children rebuild their lives.
