ATLANTA (AP) - Cable TV's "The Walking Dead" has inspired a new convention, a podcast, and a one-man play.
The podcast and Atlanta-based convention, "Walker Stalker Con," are the creations of Eric Nordhoff and James Frazier.
The two friends and fans of the AMC show were nicknamed "Walker Stalkers" after they made a road trip last fall to the Georgia town of Senoia to watch the show being filmed and meet some of the actors.
Nordhoff said Walker Stalker Con, scheduled for next month, will feature several actors from the show, including Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln and Robert "IronE" Singleton.
Singleton rose from life in an Atlanta housing project during the city's crack cocaine epidemic to find success in TV and film roles.
He's performing a play based on his life called "Blindsided by The Walking Dead."
