Stephen Baldwin Settles NY Driving Case, Pays Fine

NEW YORK (AP) - Stephen Baldwin has untangled a traffic case that got him arrested as he was trying to get coffee in New York City this summer.

"The Usual Suspects" actor was in a Manhattan court Monday to plead guilty to unlicensed driving. It's a traffic infraction, not a crime. He'll have to pay a $75 fine.

He declined to comment afterward. His lawyer, Richard Southard (SUHTH'-ehrd), says the case stemmed from a misunderstanding about Baldwin's license, and it's been cleared up.

Baldwin was arrested in August on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license. He told the Daily News then that he was pulled over while heading for a Harlem Starbucks with his daughter and didn't realize his license was suspended.

The 46-year-old is the youngest of acting's Baldwin brothers.
