RENO, NV - One Reno restaurant and bar is working on revamping Thursday nights downtown with ladies' night.
Erica Sterett and Rebecca Knabe are celebrating the end of the work week a day early.
"We're just enjoying a few drinks before heading to a concert," says Knabe.
These ladies are enjoying the drink prices at Chocolate Bar, which opened in Downtown Reno a few weeks ago.
Thursday night is the bar's "Ladies' Night Relaunch", where ladies can get their make-up done, buy jewelry, get massage coupons, and of course have fun.
"We allow kids up to nine o' clock so they can come in for a warm hot chocolate, have some fondue, have a chocolate lava cake, then as it starts to get later we offer more to the older crowd from college students all the way to working business adults," says Brittany Friedman, marketing manager for Chocolate Bar.
Friedman says ladies' night, and Chocolate Bar's location is aimed at revamping downtown. She believes the location will benefit downtown's economy. She also says the bar, can be an escape.
"Anyone who just wants to get out of the house for the night, it can be moms just wanting a martini with her girlfriends or any group of girls who are single, come out and have a date night, anything," says Friedman.
For Kalika Nelson, ladies' night is an opportunity for her to sell some of her jewelry.
"My jewelry line is very versatile, because i make it for any age, i have any where from 15 year old girls buying my jewelry to seventy year old women," says Nelson.
For Erica and Rebecca, they're looking forward to spending their Thursdays at Chocolate Bar.
Chocolate Bar is located at 95 N Sierra Street.
