LAS VEGAS, NV - Fight night at the MGM Grand turned out to take place outside the ring as well as in the squared-circle.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. took out Marcos Maidana with a 12-round majority decision to unify the welterweight world titles on Saturday night before a sold-out crowd of 16,268 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
However, after the decision another fight took place. This time with unruly fans near the exit.
There were reports of shots fired and a number of people were reportedly knocked to the ground and trampled during the altercation. It turned out there was a wall that crashed to the ground and people mistook that for a gun shot, according to authorities.
The Clark County Fire Department confirmed that 60 people were treated for injuries.
Law enforcement has not released any additional information.
