LAS VEGAS (AP) - In true Vegas fashion, former mayor Oscar Goodman blamed it on the booze.
Sin City's unofficial spokesman made headlines when he threatened to go home Sunday after waiting 20 minutes for an interview with Anthony Bourdain, host of CNN's travel show "Parts Unknown."
Bourdain responded on Twitter Wednesday that he had not been late. Both men denied a media report that Goodman had lost his temper.
On Tuesday, Goodman said if he gave that impression, it was only because he was three martinis in. He added that at least he wasn't smoking crack.
Bourdain said he didn't mind being portrayed as a jerk in the press, although he used a more vulgar term, but didn't like being called the kind of jerk who makes people wait.
Goodman was mayor from 1999 to 2011.
