LAS VEGAS (AP) - A 32-year-old bit actor who played a Las Vegas cop on the TV series "CSI" and a hotel guest in the 2009 film "The Hangover" made an initial court appearance on allegations that he posed as a police officer to coerce a woman into sex in a Las Vegas hotel room.
Douglas Brian Irvin Jr. wasn't asked for a plea Tuesday. He told a Las Vegas judge he's trying to hire a lawyer to fight the felony sex assault and misdemeanor impersonating an officer charges against him.
The judge set a July 11 preliminary hearing. Irvin was arrested Thursday after a woman claimed he showed a police ID and raped her May 15 at Hooters hotel near the Las Vegas Strip.
Irvin is being held at the Clark County jail.
