Celebrate the Season with a one of a Kind Dining Experience at the Eldorado

RENO, Nev. (December 11, 2008) -- The Eldorado family invites you to celebrate the holiday season with a spectacular meal in a warm holiday setting. The Eldorado’s four specialty holiday menus from The Buffet, Roxy, The Prime Rib Grill and our signature restaurant La Strada are the best in Northern Nevada holiday dining.

The Buffet, the Eldorado’s newly renovated multi-million dollar restaurant, provides an all-you-can-eat international celebration for the entire family. Traditionalists will appreciate the carving station featuring Roast Vermont Turkey Breast, Prime Rib of Beef, Honey Mustard Ham and Herb Pesto Rub Leg of Lamb. Hot holiday entrees include selections of Pork Loin with Cranberry Chutney, New York Steak with Grilled Onion and Wild Mushrooms, Mushroom Ravioli and Chicken, Shrimp and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. For seafood lovers The Buffet is serving Roasted Crab Legs with Thyme Drawn Butter, Chilled Peel and Eat Shrimp, Corn and Lobster Chowder Soup, Crab Cakes with Baby Field Green Salad, Fresh Salmon with Citrus Salsa and Steamed Mussels with Lemon Sauce. Savory sides to complement these entrees include Fresh Whipped Mashed Potatoes with Apple Jack Gravy, Roasted Potatoes and Parsnip Puree and more. Included in the 200-foot buffet line are a variety of holiday specialties, salads and an array of freshly baked, mouth-watering desserts. The Buffet opens at 11am on Christmas Day. Buffet prices are $24 for adults, $19 for Club Eldorado Gold Members and $13 for kids 10 and under.

Roxy offers a gourmet Christmas dinner in an intimate atmosphere. In addition to Roxy’s fabulous menu, Chef Jakon Tolhurst presents a choice of Lobster Chowder with Apple Wood Smoked Bacon and Root Vegetables or Pear Salad with Crispy Walnuts, Roquefort Cheese and Water Cress. Main entrée options include Roasted Leg of Rosen Lamb served with Rosemary Fingerling Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts and Sweet Roasted Garlic Jus; a Wild Mushroom Stuffed Free Range Chicken Breast served with Cardoon Gratin, French Green Beans and Mushroom Butter; or Pan Roasted Filet Mignon with Potatoe Gratin and French Green Beans with Port Bordelaise sauce. Dinner includes a fabulous dessert created by Roxy’s exceptional Pastry Chef. Roxy's holiday feast begins at 4 pm, the special Christmas menu will be offered at $35 for adults and $17 for children 12 and under. The regular menu is also available. Reservations are suggested.

La Strada celebrates the holiday season with an Italian flair! Chef Ivano Centemeri has prepared a four-course Italian Christmas menu to accompany the classic La Strada menu. To begin, enjoy a mix of Roasted Pear, Duck Prosciutto, Arugula, Robiola Cheese with a Fig Vinaigrette. For the second course, choose from Pappardelle with Wild Boar “Sugo” or Risotto with Chestnuts, Saffron and Aged Fontina Cheese. The main course options include Striped Bass wrapped in Prosciutto finished with Rosemary and Ferrari Carano Cabernet or Lamb Chop Gratinato. Cleanse your pallet with Berry and Chianti Sorbet and finish the evening with a delicious Italian Panettone served with a warm Mascarpone and Grand Marnier cream. Opening at 4 pm, La Strada's holiday menu will be offered for $33. Reservations are suggested.

The Prime Rib Grill provides holiday diners with hearty chop-house fare. In addition to the regular menu, a Roasted Leg of Lamb prepared with Berry and Wine Sauce served with Potato Gratin and Winter Vegetables. Also indulge in the famous Soup and Salad Bar and a Holiday Dessert Selection for $18. The Prime Rib Grill is also offering the regular menu. The Prime Rib Grill opens 4pm on Christmas Day.
