Sparks/Reno, Nev. – Tribute bands seldom rise to the level of stardom on their own. Australian Pink Floyd is the exception. See the band David Gilmour personally approves of, as Australian Pink Floyd jams November 28-29, in the Celebrity Showroom at John Ascuaga's Nugget.
To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd’s seminal 1979 classic rock opera The Wall, The Australian Pink Floyd Show has toured North American venues with a jaw-dropping recreation of Pink Floyd's legendary masterpiece - the complete album in its majestic, note-for-note entirety. The work has not been toured live on this scale for over 25 years, not since Pink Floyd performed it themselves. But now its back, in all its glory, performed by a band that the London Daily Mail said, “does Floyd better than Floyd do themselves.”
A brand new sound and light production brings to life The Wall, arguably Floyd’s greatest ever work, with new animations, new lasers, new character inflatables, new stunning special effects, but most importantly, the awesome soundscape that has blown the mind of millions of Pink Floyd fans across the world. With the meticulous attention to detail of the musicianship, every facet of Pink Floyd’s The Wall is reproduced sound for sound by the fastidiously talented musicians. Pink Floyd’s front man David Gilmour has given the show his own glowing endorsement.
Classic songs like “Comfortably Numb,” “Hey You”, “Another Brick In The Wall,” “Run Like Hell” and every other track on the album are performed within the stunning context of the work as a whole. Plus, every evening concludes with a special Pink Floyd “Greatest Hits” encore.
