"Melissa Dru" continues in the Carson Valley Inn's Cabaret Lounge through June 15, The "Kid ‘n Nic" return June 17 – 22, "Rolland Dempsey" appears June 24 – 29, and various duos perform on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge live entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows starting at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.
"Melissa Dru" and her band entertain with top 40, classic rock and pop music. Their style and stage presence appeal to a wide range of audiences. The quartet consists of Melissa Dru on vocals, rhythm guitar and percussion, Mick Hampson on vocals and guitar, Jim Haase on keyboards and vocals, and Nathan Rodney on drums and vocals.
"The Kid and Nic Show" is timeless music that pleases and entertains every generation. Jazz, blues, swing, Latin, and pop are all represented in this fun-loving, energetic and diverse musical review. Nicole (Nic), Kirk (Kid) and their band take their audiences on a trip across the landscape of American music and comedy for a show that provides lots of laughs, memorable tunes and a genuine feeling of joy! By the end of the show, you'll think you caught part of a vaudeville act, maybe even a glimpse of a Broadway show.
"Rolland Dempsey" and his band present an exciting mix of rhythm & blues, soul and contemporary pop music. Rolland possesses a voice with an uncanny range and flawless tone that, when mixed with a winning stage presence and a mastery of the congas, produces a highly entertaining show. Joining Rolland on stage are Joel Edwards – “sax symbol" of the group, Gary Douglas – bass and vocals, Kevin Tokarz – keyboardist extraordinaire and vocals, and Brian Jenkins – timekeeper (drummer).
Various duos entertain in the Cabaret Lounge on Monday nights and sports action is always plentiful at the Carson Valley Inn with 4 plasma screens and a giant pull-down screen in the Cabaret Lounge plus additional TVs in the casino.
