NEW YORK (AP) - President Bush is making an appearance on the
NBC game show, "Deal or No Deal."

Bush taped a thank you and good luck message for a contestant who is also an Iraq war veteran. Captain Joseph Kobes is a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient and has served three tours in Iraq.

Kobes is trying to win enough cash to pay off his parents' home. The usual dealmaking is interrupted for the president's message.

The episode airs on Monday. NBC has released no details about how the Army transportation officer from Sumner, Washington, fares in his quest for the jackpot.

"Deal or No Deal" calls for a contestant to predict the amount of cash contained in any of 26 sealed briefcases. The top prize for guessing correctly is 1 million dollars.
