RTC Access bus driver Jim Howard was driving along Paradise Street in Reno, when out of the corner of his eye, he saw Ray Moyle in his motorized wheelchair, dangerously close to the water's edge at Teglias Paradise Park. Jim took a second glance, and Ray was gone.

That's when his instincts kicked in and Jim went from bus driver to hero. It was back in September when Ray was going for his regular ride around the water at Teglias Paradise Park. All of a sudden, his motorized wheelchair tipped over into the water, trapping him underneath.

Jim Howard came to the rescue and held ray's head above the water and waited while emergency crews arrived. His fast action is why Sierra Manor Apartments presented him with a plague of appreciation. Howard was also recognized by RTC for his heroic efforts. RTC awarded Jim with it's most prestigious honor for his compassion, attitude, respect, and empathy.
