Salvation Army Holiday Help

Assistance is available to low-income families and individuals wishing to sign up for Christmas toys and food from The Salvation Army. Applications will be taken at The Salvation Army, 1931 Sutro Street in Reno. Parents may sign up children ages 0-12 for toys.
The Salvation Army is again partnering with the Marines' Toys for Tots program, so former Toys for Tots clients who seek holiday help will need to sign up with The Salvation Army:
Nov. 2-6 Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-Noon… or 1-3:30 p.m.
Nov. 9-13 Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-Noon… or 1-3:30 p.m.
Nov. 16-20 Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-Noon… or 1-3:30 p.m.
Nov. 23 -27 Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-Noon… or 1-3:30 p.m.
(CLOSED Thanksgiving, Nov. 26)
Nov. 30-Dec. 4 Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-Noon… or 1-3:30 p.m.
Dec. 7-11 Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-Noon… or 1-3:30 p.m.
Dec. 12 Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Clients signing up for assistance must have the following documentation:
· Proof of Washoe County residency (rent or utility receipt with name & address)
· Proof of income for all family members over age 18
· ID for all family members
Need birth certificate or other document with birth date for each child
· Parents…please do not bring children when you come in to apply!
