The City of Sparks has launched a new on-line program to apply to become a volunteer for a variety of functions to support the City's services, programs and initiatives.

Whether it is the desire to help answer city phones, perform various administrative tasks, or even help maintain city parks, just access the City's website at www.cityofsparks.us. Click on the link "I want to volunteer for" located at the bottom of the Customer Service box. Then complete the application and submit on-line.

Nearly every city department has volunteer opportunities for adult residents of all ages and backgrounds to help out and support the city. Interested individuals are not required to be a Sparks resident and may be required to participate in an informal interview.

All volunteers selected will be required to pass a background check and complete a release of liability form. Some volunteer positions may require a driver's license check and drug testing. Potential volunteers may also call 353-2345.
