Women's Shooting Academy
The Women's Shooting Academy is offering a special course called "Refuse To Be A Victim." It's a 4 hour approved program by The National Rifle Association that focuses on developing crime prevention strategies and personal safety plans.

The program is for women who want to learn methods to increase their personal awareness and minimize criminal confrontation and susceptibility to violent crimes. This class is designed for women and is taught by women of The Women's Shooting Academy, who are all certified instructors of the "Refuse To Be A Victim" national program and the NRA.

Women will learn to protect themselves from becoming a victim of gun violence, and is designed for ladies of all ages and abilities.
This is a non-firearms class. Topics covered in the course include; The Psychology of The Criminal Mind, Home and Phone Security, Automobile and Travel Security, Personal and Technological Security, and Self Defense Devices & Training Options.

Classes are taught at Scheels, 1200 Scheels Dr., Sparks, NV. The next class is Saturday, Aug. 8th, 2009 from 9:45AM to 2PM. Cost is $40, and is open to women only. There is no age limit to attend but minors must be accompanied by a female parent or guardian. Reserve your spot by calling Vicki at (775) 772-7064.
