STORRS, Conn. (KOLO) Gabby Williams earned some postseason honors at UConn this season.
The junior was named to the All-American Athletic Conference first team, and was named the Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
The Sparks native is averaging 13 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. She also leads the Huskies in both assists (152) and steals (79), averaging 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game.
Williams was also named one of the 10 semifinalists for this year's Naismith Award. That honors the national women's Player of the Year in college basketball.
The former Reed high school All-American has only lost once in her college career; currently riding an NCAA record 104-game winning streak. The top-ranked Huskies are a perfect 29-0 this season, looking to win their fifth straight National Championship.
