The high school sports season came to a close Saturday, with eight state titles handed out in prep baseball and softball.

Churchill County scored three runs in the 6th to overcome Lowry for the 3A softball championship, while in 2A, White Pine rallied to beat Pershing County in the if-necessary game, 14-9.

In 3A baseball, Truckee claimed the title over Elko in an all-North final, 10-6. In 2A, Yerington forced a second game with Lincoln County, but the Lynx prevailed to win their third straight title.
