SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) Spanish Springs senior Jalen Townsell has been nominated for the McDonald's All-American game.

He is the only player from northern Nevada on the list, and one of just four boys from the state of Nevada.

The 6-foot-7, 195-pound forward is averaging 23.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game this season.

Townsell could become just the fourth northern Nevadan to ever be chosen for the McDonald's game, joining David Padgett (Reno), Luke Babbitt (Galena) and Gabby Williams (Reed).

24 boys will be selected for the final roster, which will be announced on January 16th. The All-American game will be held on March 28th in Atlanta. It will air live on ESPN2 at 4pm.
