RENO, Nev. (KOLO) Reno high school's Brandon Kaho is one of 53 players in the country named to the watch list for the Polynesian High School Player of the Year award.

Five finalists for the award will be announced on December 7th. The winner will be honored during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame week on January 19th.

Kaho was recently named to the high school watch list for the Butkus Award, given out to the country's best linebacker.

The Huskies' senior, a top 100 recruit, listed the final five schools he's considering on Monday. They are BYU, Oregon, UCLA, Utah and Alabama.

He was named the High Desert League's Player of the year last season as a junior; playing quarterback, running back and linebacker. He was also the kicker on special teams.

Kaho has been invited to three postseason all-star games. The Under Armour All-American Bowl, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and the Polynesian Bowl.
