RENO, Nev. (KOLO) The Wolf Pack basketball team has received 61 points in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Basketball Poll.

That has them effectively ranked 27th overall in the country.

Nevada began the season with two points in the first poll, then had 19 points last week.

The Wolf Pack will have a chance to build on their resume with games at 22nd-ranked Texas Tech on December 5th, and versus 23rd-ranked TCU on December 8th in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame Classic at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Nevada's 6-0 start is their best since they won their first seven games back in the 2006-07 season.

That season was also the last time the Wolf Pack was ranked in the Top 25 Poll.

Nevada hosts Illinois State (3-3) on Wednesday night at 7pm.
