RENO, Nev. (AP) Washoe County officials have decided to suspend the search for a woman who called in asking for help from Rattlesnake Mountain in Reno.

Washoe County Sheriff's Office spokesman Bob Harmon says the search was called off Sunday night after more than 30 deputies and search and rescue volunteers thoroughly searched the area for hours from the ground and the air.

According to Bob, police received reports of a person crying for help at about 5:45 p.m. that day.

Bob says the voice sounded like a woman.

The search was suspended less than four hours later.
