SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - The third annual Ugly Sweater Crawl will take place Saturday, December 16 at 7 p.m. in downtown Sparks. The event takes participants on a bar-hopping journey while they don their best tacky holiday wear.

In addition to this year’s event, participants can receive free cups for the crawl by purchasing a sweater at the United Cerebral Palsy of Nevada (UCPNV) thrift store.

The 2017 Ugly Sweater Crawl includes participating bars on Victorian Avenue such as Great Basin Brewing Company, Cantina Los Tres Hombres, Victorian Saloon, O’Skis, Mummers, Paddy and Irene's Irish Pub and the Nugget’s Game On. Presale cups for the crawl cost $5 and will be available at the participating Victorian Avenue bars. Pub crawlers must show ID when purchasing cups and every stop along the crawl. They will also be allowed to freely travel with their drinks outdoors as they bar hop.

The Ugly Sweater Crawl has partnered with UCPNV to provide patrons with an option for all their ugly sweater needs. Each sweater purchased at the thrift store will come with a free cup and ticket to the crawl. All proceeds from the thrift store will go directly back into the costs of the store’s operations as well as provide monies for UCPNV. The thrift store is at 2150 Oddie Blvd. in Sparks.
