STORRS, Conn. (KOLO) Sparks' native Gabby Williams has been named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20. She's one of 20 candidates in the country up for the award, which honors the national Player of the Year.

Williams leads the top-ranked Huskies in steals and assists. She is averaging 12.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.7 steals per game.

The former Reed high school All-American recorded a triple-double in their win against East Carolina this season; just the fifth triple-double in school history.

UConn is a perfect 23-0 this season, and have extended their own NCAA record to 98 wins in a row.

Williams was also added to the Wade Trophy Watch List earlier this week, which is another national Player of the Year award.
