Two hurt in Reno car-versus-pedestrian crashes

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Two people sustained non-life-threatening injuries after hit by drivers Tuesday evening.

Car-vs-pedestrian crash on Kietzke Lane between Moana and Gentry

One happened on Kietzke Lane between Moana and Gentry when a woman wearing all black crossed Kietzke outside a crosswalk. Reno Police say she is considered at fault. The driver stopped and is cooperating with police.

In a second incident, police say the driver will be cited for failure to yield after hitting a pedestrian at 2nd and Ralston Streets. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Both incidents took place about 5:30PM December 12, 2017. Police say alcohol or other drugs are not suspected of being involved in either case.
