TRUCKEE, Calif. (KOLO)-- A Truckee woman was booked on suspicion of felony drunken driving after allegedly crossed into opposing traffic early Sunday in Truckee and drove into oncoming traffic.

Brynn Kennedy, 30, was taken to Tahoe Forest Hospital for treatment and later booked into the Wayne Brown County Jail in Nevada City, the Truckee Police Department reported.

The incident happened just after midnight the morning of December 31, 2017 on Donner Pass Road at Northwoods Boulevard. Kennedy drove south on Northwoods Boulevard and then turned west onto Donner Pass Road when she hit an oncoming vehicle, according to police. The adult driver and two children in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital with what police called minor to moderate injuries. They were released from the hospital, police said.

“The Truckee Police Department reminds everyone to celebrate safely this New Year’s Eve and don’t drink and drive,” police said.
