Special Olympics Nevada Summer Games in Reno

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - More than 300 competed in the 2017 Special Olympics Nevada Summer Games held in Reno Friday and Saturday.

Most events were held at Reno High School and the University of Nevada, Reno.

There were track and field, swimming a bocce ball competitions. The opening ceremony was Friday and featured the parade of athletes.

The competitors were from around Nevada and eastern California.
