Sparks Police looking for men missing, possibly in Pyramid area

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) - Sparks Police say two men have been missing since April.

May 8, 2017, 52-year-old Quentin Johnson (pictured at right) and 48-year-old Ron Haigwood (pictured at left), a 48-year-old male were reported missing. Haigwood had last communicated with family April 23, and Johnson with a friend the next day. Haigwood and Johnson are friends and believed by police to be together.

May 12, the Pyramid Lake Police Department found Johnson’s truck and empty boat trailer at Pyramid Lake. The Pyramid Lake Police Department has done a shoreline search and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue has done a search by helicopter, and the men have not been found. Search crews plan to use a plane to further the search.

Haigwood is white, about 5'-11" and 220 pounds, bald, with brown eyes, mustache and goatee. He has a piercing on his left ear and multiple tattoos.

Johnson is white, about 6'-3" and 180 pounds, with grey hair and green eyes. His boat, also missing, is a 1988 white and blue 23-foot Nordic with Arizona registration 8679AG.

Haigwood and Johnson had cell phones with them. Investigators are working to see if any cell information can be used to assist in locating Haigwood or Johnson.
